Allegations or concerns about individuals working with children and young people

If you have a concern about the suitability of a professional or volunteer to work with children or young people within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, please contact the Local Authority's Designated Officer (LADO) for advice.  

Concerns could be about anyone who is an employee, carer or volunteer who works with children, is in a position of trust and/or has a duty of care to children. If you are a professional in an organisation you can also talk to your agency's Nominated Senior Officer for Allegations.

If you have concerns that a criminal offence has been committed, please notify your manager and contact the Police straight away.  Thames Valley Police: 101

If you have immediate safeguarding concerns about a child, please notify your manager and contact:

  • the Multi-agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Tel: 01628 683150 (8.45am to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday, 8.45am to 4.45pm Friday) or
  • the Out of Hours team (Emergency Duty Team) Tel: 01344 786543  (from 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and from 4.45pm on Friday all weekend until 8.45am on Monday)
