RBWM Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT)

The Royal Borough has two teams supporting residents who are misusing drugs and/or alcohol, including young people who are affected by parents who misuse drugs and/or alcohol.

The Drug & Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) are responsible for delivering the National Drug Strategy at a local level.

DAAT

  • Commission high quality drug & alcohol services for adults (18yrs+) in Windsor and Maidenhead.
  • Raise awareness of the dangers of drug & alcohol abuse.
  • Work in partnership with the Youth Service, Police, Probation Service and others to reduce the crime & anti-social behavior associated with substance misuse.

Young Peoples Substance Misuse (YPSM) Service

  • Support for 8-18 year olds who are misusing drugs and/or alcohol.
  • Preventative workshops for young people, parents and carers. 
  • Support young people who have been affected by parental alcohol and/or drug misuse.

The Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) co-ordinates all treatment & services for young people with alcohol & substance misuse issues in the borough. The small team offers information and advice on where to get help and support and provides free drug awareness training for anyone working with young people in the borough.
