Berkshire Phab

Berkshire PHAB is a charity which helps disabled and non-disabled people share experiences and socialise, and offer activities designed for all abilities. The purpose-built Berkshire Phab centre offers the following:

Berkshire Phab Club (drop in for adults)

Runs Monday to Thursday, 10am to 4pm for adults aged 18 and over.
£15 per day (part-day available), lunch £3.50

B.phab Youth Club

Every Saturday, 9.30am to 1pm

Is your service accessible?
Full access for people with mobility difficulties. Level throughout, disabled toilets, changing facilities including a hoist (please note we are not able to provide personal care).
What are the eligibility criteria for your service?
Our centre is open to all. Anyone who requires personal care or who requires 1:1 input will need to attend with a carer
How are referrals/applications made to your service?
No referral required. People can come along for a free trial to see if it is for them, then they complete a membership form and drop into the sessions when they want. Members pay for the sessions they attend.
What is your service standard for responding to referrals/accessing services?
We run as a drop-in service, and don’t have a waiting list. We usually respond to emails within 24 hours, but always within a few days, and the phone is answered during our opening hours (there’s an answerphone outside these times).

Feedback and complaints procedure
We have compliments/comments/complaints forms available at the centre, and can provide these through the post/by email if required. We carry out an annual satisfaction survey. Staff are always available during our opening hours to discuss any issues.
How will I know my child/ young person will be safe using this service?
All our staff are trained in safeguarding. All our staff and volunteers are DBS checked. At our youth club, the ratio of staff/volunteers to children is at most 1 staff member/volunteer to 3 young people.
