South East Berkshire Deaf Children's Society is run by and for the families of deaf children in Windsor, Maidenhead, Bracknell and Slough. The children of our families have mild to profound hearing loss, using hearing aids and cochlear implants, and a range of communications.

We support for families in the area, running social events to help children, their siblings and their parents. They give everyone the chance to meet with others facing similar issues to themselves, opportunities for parents to share ideas and experiences and for children to realise that there are other youngsters with hearing loss, hearing aids etc.

We run an approximately one event per month and cover all age groups from 0 to 18.  Events have included a visit to Odds Farm and a teddy bears picnic at a specialist playground in Maidenhead.

We have a comprehensive noticeboard at King Edward hospital with all kinds of information as well as our latest events. We also work closely with our local National Deaf Children's Society rep to be able to offer a wide range of information and advice.

We are always looking for ideas and input from all our members so please contact us with ideas for events, queries about equipment, fundraising or any issues that you need help with.
